Privacy
This site takes in videos other people shot, and the question that deserves an answer before any other is what we do with them. Short answer: the file stays on the machine assigned to you for the length of the slot, and is deleted when the slot expires. The rest of this page is the detail.
Who handles your data
The data controller for dlss5studio.com is DLSS5 Studio. For any question or request about what is written here, write to privacy@dlss5studio.com.
The Telegram group is the technical support channel, not the one for data requests: those have statutory response times and belong somewhere they stay in writing.
The video you upload
The file goes to one of our machines with an RTX GPU and stays on its disk. It does not end up in any cloud storage, it is not copied into a bucket, it is not handed to third parties, and it is not used to train anything.
When the slot expires — 180 seconds, with no account — the material is deleted from the machine along with the previews and exports you generated. Release the slot earlier and it happens earlier.
Nobody watches your videos. The only thing a person sees is what you choose to publish to the catalogue, and they see it in review.
What stays written down
A few technical rows survive the job in the database: original filename, size, duration, resolution, codec, frame count, the neural parameters used and the render timings. They are what makes the queue work and what explains a render that went wrong.
Alongside them is a session key: a random string your browser generates, which says which slot is yours and says nothing about who you are. No name, no email, no profile.
Those rows are deleted after 30 days. The video is not part of this: it was already gone when the slot expired.
Cookies and statistics
There are no tracking cookies and no banner to accept, because there is nothing to accept.
In the Studio your browser keeps the session key described above in localStorage, under dlss5.session: without it there is no way to know the open slot is yours. It is technical and strictly necessary for the service you asked for, and clearing the site's data in your browser removes it.
Visits are counted by Vercel Web Analytics, in aggregate and without writing anything to your device: from IP address and user agent it derives a non-reversible daily identifier, whose only job is not counting the same person twice, and it follows nobody from one site to another. The IP address is not retained.
If you publish a comparison
Publishing is an explicit choice, one frame at a time. When you do it, the source image and the reconstructed one go to public storage with permanent URLs, together with the render parameters and the title, game and note if you wrote them.
Before it becomes visible the entry goes through human review. What you type in the free text fields is public and indexable: it is not the place for a name, an address, or anything else you do not want on Google.
A published entry stays until it is retired. To have it taken down, write to privacy@dlss5studio.com with the link: the row moves to “removed” and the files are deleted from storage.
On what legal basis
Performance of the service you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): the slot, the upload, the render, the export.
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): publishing to the catalogue, which is opt-in and can be withdrawn at any time.
Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): technical logs and abuse defences. Keeping a free service open to anyone requires being able to see when someone is breaking it.
Who else touches the data
Vercel Inc. hosts the site and counts its visits. Supabase holds the database, in the European Frankfurt region. Cloudflare provides DNS, hosts the published images on R2, and tunnels the traffic between your browser and the machines.
The GPUs are physical machines we operate, in Italia.
The video does not enter any of these services as stored content: it passes encrypted through Cloudflare's network, which routes it and does not archive it, and stops on the disk of the machine that works on it.
Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and you can object to the processing (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). Write to privacy@dlss5studio.com: we answer within thirty days.
For a catalogue entry the link is enough. For the technical rows we need the session key, which is in your browser's localStorage under dlss5.session: without it we have no way of knowing which rows are yours, which is the same reason we do not know who you are.
If you believe your data is being handled badly you can complain to the Italian data protection authority (garanteprivacy.it) or to the supervisory authority in your own country.
Minors
The service is not intended for anyone under 14. We do not ask your age because we do not ask you anything: if you are under 14, have whoever holds parental responsibility open the slot.
Changes
If this page changes in any material way, the date at the top changes with it. There is no newsletter to warn you through: we do not have your address.
